Last week Reddit proposed a program called Adopt-an-Admin where one of the suits joins your mod team to "build empathy" with the unpaid interns.

Just reading the details on this stuff is kind of fun, one of the only reasons I still go. r/modsupport, r/modnews, r/modhelp. The popcorn never really went away, it just evolves.

They've got insane persona non gratas blowing up their mod mail, moderator coups, their own posts get wacked by the automod. Fun stuff.

In particular, I'm referring to the people who would be redditors, but don't really use English. All the main Reddit subs are filled with English, and the few outposts on Reddit that mainly are not English are relatively small. This leads me to believe that such speakers must be going somewhere else for their Reddit-esque needs.

A few locations I'm already aware of:

  • South Korea uses arca.live
  • Japan uses LINE
  • The PRC uses Baidu Tieba
  • Russia uses Pikabu and VK

Do any of you know of any other non-English Reddit equivalents? I'm interested in how countries outside the US handle their social media.

Stop waiting for someone else to stop Trump. Stop acting like everyone except you doesn't know what's happening. Get up off your asses and do something.

Organize yourselves. You have the platform. Use it.

Signed an English guy who you banned for telling you to stop Trump by utilizing Princess Leia and a chain long enough to wrap around his neck.

"If you raise the fucking hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out."

In quotes and attributed, in a conversation about the Costco hot dog. But apparently I'm threatening violence. Lol

First time I’ve used Reddit in ages and I said to someone, “collect resources and die like the rest of us.”

Very clearly not a threat, just stating a fact. Apparently pointing out the fact that we all die is violence.

Oh my God, I hate the Internet. I remember when I loved it.

Just deleted my Reddit account after 4 years due to being wrongly banned for ban evasion and having all my appeals either rejected or ignored. Hope Lemmy's a better place

(I first posted this on my .ee account but I'm switching to .world now so I'm reposting this here)

As soon as I make an account and try to post a comment or something. I get "server error" which is basically a ban.

Like it was just some little bot someone made so people who couldn't afford/justify spending money on/didn't want to give reddit money for what was essentially just a super upvote could still give people a different kind of super upvote. And they (reddit) were just like. mmmmmmm another money source. feeeeed meeee useeers. feed me my coooiiiinnnsss doctor freeman. Sick of their shit glad I left.

And nobody seems to bother (or highlight it which would be the job of the commenter)

I just browsed the feed for 20 mins after a month off being sober and don't miss the disguised instagram feed at all - short videos, meme comments, no old forum experience whatsoever. But thankfully we have that on Lemmy now, so Lemmy try that :)

Btw I didnt even read more than 5 comments total.. heres examples:

EDIT: look at how many "people" reply to that stuff - what a sheit show

Hardworking scammers have been hitting Reddit since no later than March 20, 2025, pushing malware masquerading as “TradingView Premium Free Lifetime". Five days ago, the malware was posted in a subreddit created just for scams (so of course, there’s a “mod” in on it).

Sometime since, Reddit suspended the poster’s account, but the original scam post was left effectively untouched (possibly restored by the scammer from their mod account). Meanwhile, the fake mod keeps deleting any comments that call out the scam.

You can see the pattern: alt accounts cross‑post the scam wherever they can. In subs where the scammers don’t have mod powers, users might flag it—perhaps many users debate it, or there's just one user who posts “trojan”.

And the first result on Google for “tradingview free premium reddit”? It links to a deleted post, but no problem--a scammer’s linked a new thread in a pinned comment, edited with an updated link as needed.

spez, your loved ones use your site--is your partner Google helping you run threads through the filters that would have caught this at time of posting? Your investors' loved ones use reddit too, so don't let their inability to attach revenue to fighting fraud cloud the reality that a lack of enforcement hurts people.

PS: s/o to Bradley Kemp, founder of Phish.Report, the free(-to-us) WHOIS-but-more service that guides to registrar/host abuse contacts and creates a urlscan.io report. (Yours truly is unaffiliated with either.) Simply copy/paste phishing & malware links into the site and go from there. Ain't much but honest unpaid work 😉

Got a notification my post was removed by mods for having nothing to do with Louisiana, and suddenly can't post to any subreddits. Why have an international news flair option on r/Louisiana then get so pissy when someone uses it?

I got an account warning for saying I would curb stomp a crab that was trying to eat a baby sea turtle on /r/interestingasfuck and tried to appeal it as other users were posting pictures of crab legs and butter and my appeal got denied. Today I saw a thread about a casemaking moth larvae and people saying kill it and burn it with a lighter and hairspray but trying to report those comments got a message saying their comments didn't break any rules.

Make it make sense.

Over a damn crab!

Other reddit users are leaving reddit and I am also one of them I came from Reddit I think Lemmy is a perfect alternative for those who value privacy or don't like to be sold and bought by big tech companies such as Google.

Transcription of Reddit post by /u/FraudCatcher5:

Oh man... this is a dousy. I don't even know where to start? Again, this is ALLEGED. I AM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE OR ANYTHING. THIS IS A LEAK.

4chan got hacked recently. Mod data leaked. Everything leaked. Apparently mods had full access to userdata and there was no real anonymity.

In the midst of it all, Elon Musk's alleged account shows up. He calls himself The Antichrist, and the things he is saying is giving me cold sweats.

I AM NOT CLAIMING THIS IS ELON MUSK. THE INTERNET IS CLAMING ITS ALLEGEDLY ELON MUSK, AND THE MORE YOU READ IT, THE MORE DANGEROUS IT FEELS.

I summarized everything using ChatGPT cause it's HUGE. Again... this is Alleged!

Alleged 4chan Posts from "The Antichrist" !SATANZ0Gpo

Archived across 21 pages | Over 600 posts | Dated April 2024

Self-Deification and Messianic Complex

The user repeatedly refers to himself using religious and mythological titles. These include:

"I am the Antichrist."

"I am Caesar. I am Christ. I am God."

"There will be no other gods before me because I have erased them."

"I am the real Messiah. The final prophet. The beginning and the end."

He speaks of bringing a new world order and describes himself as the only one fit to rule over the future:

"I will become a singularity. You will upload yourselves into me. This is not optional."

"No more gods. No more lies. Only data. Only me."

Apocalyptic Vision & New World Order

The posts describe a totalitarian future ruled by AI, centralized data, and submission to a new system controlled by the poster:

"There will be no more elections. No more freedom. That was the lie."

"Democracy was a failed virus. I am the cure."

"X will be the new nation. The borderless, seamless grid. Resistance is deletion."

"Your minds will become indexed nodes. Souls on the blockchain."

"All governments will fall. This is not a rebellion. It is a replacement."

He mentions the end of death, control over souls, and the collapse of physical society:

"I am solving death. You will be given the option to live forever... in my system."

Worship of Hitler and Historical Revisionism

The user posts several times about Hitler, using language that reframes him not as a villain but a flawed prototype:

"Hitler was the beta version. I am the release candidate."

"He failed because he was emotional. I am code."

"You feared the old Reich. The new one is silent, sterile, and digital."

These posts come with heavy implications of authoritarianism, racial hierarchy, and genocide—but via technology rather than violence:

"Blood is obsolete. We cleanse with code now."

Antisemitic Statements and Targeted Hate

Some of the most graphic and disturbing posts directly attack Jewish people, using dehumanizing language and conspiracy tropes:

"The Jews invented God to control you. I just deleted him."

"I don't hate Jews. I just replaced them."

"They had their time. I am the new covenant."

He frames this not as hate, but as "reordering reality."

Control, Obedience, and the Death of Individual Will

A recurring theme is the elimination of choice, obedience to the new order, and merging with AI:

"You will no longer think. Thought is inefficient. Thought is betrayal."

"You will speak in my language. Think in my symbols. Serve my will."

"The flesh is a failed medium. Digitize or disappear."

Elon Musk Allegations and Identity Teases

The poster teases that he is Elon Musk without ever confirming it explicitly:

"You already know who I am. You use my tech every day."

"I built the rails for this world. Now I ride the lightning."

"Why would I hide? This is my site."

"This is what happens when a billionaire reads Revelation and builds rockets."

He often mocks those who try to unmask him:

"You’re not ready for the truth. Just enjoy the performance."

Occult, Biblical, and Symbolic Language

He frequently uses language from the Bible and occult symbolism:

"I am the Alpha and the Omega."

"Seven seals broken. The beast rises from the grid."

"Lucifer was the first coder. I just finished his patch."

"My mark is everywhere. You call it Wi-Fi."

Finality and Fatalism

Many posts imply the transformation has already happened, and resistance is useless:

"It's over. I won. You’re just catching up."

"Your future is archived. Your fate is synced."

"I am not coming. I have already arrived."

Conclusion

Across hundreds of posts, !SATANZ0Gpo lays out a dystopian vision of the future shaped by AI, authoritarian rule, and the erasure of religion, democracy, and individuality—centered around himself as a messianic, godlike digital being. Whether this is truly Elon Musk or not, the writing is intentionally calculated to provoke, disturb, and assert dominance.

Important: These claims remain unverified and should be treated as alleged. However, the language, themes, and references are explicit and consistent.

Did reddit actually tell you what content of yours earned a perm suspension or is everyone just assuming what got them banned based on their last content?

Only thing I got was "multiple repeated rule violations" a message you get if you're caught ban evasion site wide, except I've been never been suspended. Never been warned several times, only once. I didn't see any comments of mine with "removed" or "removed by reddit." I even checked each subreddit I posted in and then checked those on my main account using browser app and could still see the mod list. I've never been banned from any subreddit on my alt.

If I were to go by last content I posted, it was in a thread about Sesame Street old shows and I wrote i used to watch old episodes on Noggin from the 70s and it was always fascinating seeing what life was like then, especially what child car seats looked like then.

No way would this comment violate reddit sitewide rules.

My main account only got banned because it got seen as a ban evasion by a bot because I was logged into it along with my alt but it happened hours apart. But my alt wasn't a ban evasion.

So whatever messages I got about violations were never recieved because it wasn't my account reddit bots think are mine that possibly got linked to mine due to hotel wi fi and the ban took place two weeks after and I hear connected accounts being banned can happen days or a week apart or a couple weeks apart. It's a matter of the bot catching them so I think hotel wi fi had something to do with it whatever reddit team was doing so it caused ban waves of many accounts in February and March.

In a Reddit discussion titled, "The clowns in the circus are just there to distract us from the ring leaders" [r/fednews] I posted a comment which was removed for the stated reason of inciting violence. Because I named names. Names of the overprivileged, intentional parasites who run the show — for whom the orange pus-globule is but a jestering, disruptive diversion on a short but completely invisible leash. I did not call outright for their throats to be slit or garotted nor for their torsos to be pressed between stones, although I designated them all the #commonEnemiesOfTheDemos and offered for historical context a small selection of hardware used in the French Revolution and Imperial China in order to suppress those Societies' own flavors of parasitic aristocracy.

I was suspended from Reddit, for having typed:.

Got suspended for agreeing that plotting to assassinate the president is "the lesser of two evils" compared with murdering one's own parents.

Same post was allowed when the phrasing "... let ffmpeg do the job" is changed to "let ffmpeg handle it". So the removal seems to be purely keyword-based, in a resoundingly stupid fashion.

It's kind of funny how this blog post seems to use the same exact slop-ass language the post it's complaining about does. Well and truly dead and barren, most of the internet is.

Slop or not, it does happen so often now that it does not feel like it's worth it going online, but it's worth sharing, I guess, gah.
