Hello, I was trying to reply to someone the link to a community using the app but I found no easy way to do this. The share button is a link and not the c/community@instance.tld format. Is there a way ? Also my subscribed communities don't seem to always show their instance witch is frustrating tbh. Am I doing something wrong or is this not a feature in the app?

Is this expected behaviour? Is this a setting I touched?
I think it could be a neat feature to turn on or off with a button, but not as default.

I wanted to ask if anyone else has issues using the video playback controls in the web version of Voyager? I want to scrub to a certain point in the videos, but every time I click or drag the progress bar, it either move the video with my mouse, or it will just show/hide the controls.

Am I just trying to use the same method on the web version that I do for the phone app version, and it doesn't work like that, or am I supposed to be able to use my keyboard? The arrow keys don't work for that either.

Using voyager for iPhone. In the past , when clicking a media link, controls (play, pause, ff, rwd) all worked as always. Recently, time bar, time elapsed, and time remaining all appear normal, but no actual controls are available. Any help?

When some external source (pictures/videos) fails to load there is no way to view it. It would be nice to be able to long press on an image (or via menu) and view the original link in your web browser. Is there something that I'm missing with current versions of Voyager? Thanks!

I updated to 2.43.7(?) A few days back. I noticed today that when I view any post, the UI ends up zoomed away a little bit. Almost like I'm in app switcher mode. I'll add two examples in a moment.

On some comms the heart button (for subscribe) shows subscribe but if i open the comm and the “list” it doesn’t show subscribed on that UI.

Wait I realise I posted this from my non piefed alt, sorry if thats confusing but the issue is with my piefed alt.

Also if I click the subscribe button a UI pop up says “subscribed!” but the heart remains unchecked.

And FWIW this behaviour is happening but its showing up in my feed so I am subscribed in the backend.

This is my last effort to find a fix for this before I find a different client to use. So far I have:

• Made sure hide NSFW posts is enabled on the web client
• Made sure hide NSFW posts is enabled in voyager
• Signed out and back in on voyager
• Signed out and back in on web client.

I don't know whether this is a problem with Android libraries or the app, but it does present a problem as my instance appears to convert submitted images to avif.

I have a small set of non-default settings in Voyager for iOS that I use. Every time the app updates, those settings get flushed and reset back to the defaults.

Not a huge deal, but it’s weird, right? Any suggestions on making my preferred gestures and layout survive app updates?

Some things I have observed since upgrading:

• Mute controls on videos don't work in fullscreen on iOS
• When I leave app and come back on iOS sometimes the whole UI shrinks down about 10% and has a border around it
• Other times I come back to a frozen blank screen and have to restart

Is there a way to downgrade again?

How do I hide NSFW posts from my feed?

I can see i can see other images in communities I follow. But images form @Quokk.au users dont show on the app.

I think this is new as Ive only noticed many blank images showing recently.

I have hide NSFW selected, and I still get tons of NSFW content in my feed. Do I have to block each one individually?

Hi! I got banned for a week. Transparency and adequacy of that decision might be a different story, but it seems that Voyager does not handle this case well. After that week Voyager still failed to display the inbox. You had to delete all userdata of Voyager, otherwiese it was not possible to either sign in or sign out. After deleting the user data and signing in again, everything works as expected.

So, you might check how Voyager acts when the signed in user gets a temporary ban. At least if you don't consider the malfunction a part of the punishment. ;)

Are there any plans to expand Voyager’s capabilities to include features that Piefed has that Lemmy doesn’t? Is there any way to contribute to advancing that sort of effort?

Title says it all. Communities are entirely empty, but I can access posts via searching comments in them.

This popup was recently introduced in PR-2174.

I don't know exactly why, but voyager prompting me that I'm about to lose my progress was sort of strange to me in the context of scrolling on lemmy.

I understand why someone wants such a feature, but IMO this should be turned off by default and available as an option.

I updated this morning to the latest version. I'm using the beta build on Graphene OS.

When I switch to a different app and then come back to Voyager it now shrinks the app down to half size vertically as seen in the image.

Is there a way or any news regarding sorting saved posts and comments by save time instead of chronological posting order?
