Those shore birds are voracious killers just as terrifying as any raptor. The ancestral code in my DNA gets flashbacks to our days of scurrying away from dinosaurs whenever I see a heron spearing a rodent in the bush.

Ya, the stab-prone gangly type. They are mostly harmless to other birds though in comparison.
