Self hosted immich and tailscale gets my vote, although ente photos is very good, I cannot get over the fact that it exports photos the same way as Google with separate JSONs for EXIF data which is incredibly annoying.
I've started using Ente and it seems pretty good. Reckon they just copied Google Photos to make it more compatible for importing/exporting?
I guess so, but the best way is to preserve the meta data within the image itself without having to mess about with python scripts to put it all back in.
Now if only immesh had full support for rclone.
