That refers to funny image macros and means that generally videos and screenshots are not allowed. Exceptions include explicitly humorous and short videos, as well as (social media) screenshots depicting a funny situation, joke, or joke picture relating to socialist movements, theory, societal issues, or political opponents. 0.5.1 Style tip about abbreviations and short forms
When writing stuff like "lol" and "iirc", it's a good idea to try and replace those with their all caps counterpart
- ofc => OFC
- af = AF
- ok => OK
- lol => LOL
- bc => BC
- bs => BS
- iirc => IIRC
- cia => CIA
- nato => Nato (you don't spell it when talking, right?)
- usa => USA
- prc => PRC
- etc.
Why? Because otherwise (AFAIK), screen readers will try to read them out as actually words instead of spelling them

2. Anti-Imperialism means recognizing capitalist states like Russia and China as such
That means condemning (their) imperialism, even if it is of the "anti-USA" flavor.
3. No liberalism, (right-wing) revisionism or reactionaries.
That includes so called: Social Democracy, Democratic Socialism, Dengism, Market Socialism, Patriotic Socialism, National Bolshevism, Anarcho-Capitalism etc. . Anti-Socialist people and content have no place here, as well as the variety of "Marxist"-"Leninists" seen on lemmygrad and more specifically GenZedong (actual ML's are welcome as long as they agree to the rules and don't just copy paste/larp about stuff from a hundred years ago).
4. No Bigotry.
The only dangerous minority is the rich.
5. Don't demonize previous and current socialist experiments or (leading) individuals.
We must constructively learn from their mistakes, while acknowledging their achievements and recognizing when they have strayed away from socialist principles.

Notable achievements in all spheres of society were made by various socialist/people's/democratic republics around the world. Mistakes, however, were made as well: bureaucratic castes of parasitic elites - as well as reactionary cults of personality - were established, many things were mismanaged and prejudice and bigotry sometimes replaced internationalism and progressiveness.

You are one of those special people where I can just go through a thread and after reading your comments, downvote every single one of them <3
No, this is strictly shit posting and subtooting to vent frustration. I'm not going to make a bunch of random Germans into targets. I usually try to engage in good faith and help change perspective. Targeting people like that would be counter to that.
So you target an entire nation instead.
I live in Germany and am active on the German side of Lemmy and as a genuine leftist (revolutionary Marxist, but anarchists count too OFC) it makes my head hurt a lot of times
In logic, there is a huge difference between existential and universal quantification.
Now, if you find reason to self identify as the "random German" that's your own choice.
You seem to value logic, but not math. If you refuse to even tell us how many comment sections with "random Germans" defending Israel led you to make your post, it looks very much like you're basing your judgment about a whole nation on insufficient data. Any statistician will tell you that you need a significant sample in order to make generalized statements like you did.

Repeat: there is a difference between exists and forall. I'm not judging "all Germans".
(I do have however very strong opinions about the German state, media, and political class, and its despicable laws, positions, and biases, but German official genocide denialism is a different discussion.)
You particularly referred to the Germans, and you said there's "always one", thereby singling out the Germans as being particularly bad in this respect. I'd hoped you would be able to at least give some kind of evidence for this claim of yours. Seems like you can't and don't want to.

You may well be right. I never disputed that probably a lot of Germans refuse to criticize Israel, and that's lamentable.
But you should always, ALWAYS be prepared to defend and validate your assertions when challenged. Have some fucking proof for what you claim, or you will look like a person who just likes to pull any old shit out of their ass, even when you're right.

Only idiots believe people when they make statements without further explanation or reasoning. You may be right, you may be wrong. But without further data it only remains an opinion that everyone should take with a grain of salt.
Believing every claim just because they match their bias without asking for further details, evidence or justification, that's what Trumptards do. People on the left should know better.
