🇺🇸🇮🇷| US Senator Chris Murphy: Trump has lost control of the US-Iran war

Based on closed-door briefings, the senator says:

• Trump believed Iran would not close the Strait of Hormuz → he was wrong.

Oil prices are spiking; if the Strait stays closed → global recession (possibly already too late).

• Plan to open the Strait does not exist.

• US can’t combat Iran’s navy tools (thousands of small drones, speed boats, mines).

• Naval escorts for tankers are theoretically possible but impractical: Would require entire US Navy (≈100 tankers/day need escort).

• US can’t combat Iran’s drone war.

• Persian Gulf countries are running out of interceptors.

• Trump has no endgame/ no off-ramp.
