MODERATORS
That is because for decades pro-gun groups and organizations in the US have been cooped by fascists and right-wing people. In the US the police and government didn't generally like to get their hands dirty very often with suppressing minorities and disliked communities, they outsourced stuff like that to the Klan. In Canada it was (and is) different.
