This is kind of a good thing. Many moderators sell their accounts to marketers
Even so, it seems like a reaction against the mod protest earlier this year.
It would be great in another situation. Like, mods have been complaining since forever that the top mod is always someone who doesn't give a fuck about the sub, and "magically" appears when convenient for themself, only to disappear a moment later.
Now though? It's just Reddit misunderstanding who protested.
