"Alexa, pls stop spying on me. Ok? Thx."

It's baffling how companies like Meta, Alphabet, etc. pull shit like this over and over again, or do even worse, and most people still keep using their products as if they were masochists.

It's everybody's responsibility to get fucking literate in the use of media. Examples like these are harmless and just point out how easy it is for malicious actors, be it states, political partys, or other groups and individuals, to spread misinformation.
The use of AI tools such as LLMs makes this even more important.

A lot of people kiss their pets or non-human animals in general. I find that very weird. I understand that it is a sign of affection but it seems so off. One reason is that I doubt whether animals really understand this. Also it seems to be on a level of intimacy to me that I find weird sharing with a pet. Not necessarily romantically or sexually (that would be even more weird and wrong and probably illegal). But it is still "more". I am not sure whether I can really explain why exactly I find that weird.

Anyway, what is something that is weird to you but not to most other people?

I suppose this will become an arms race, just like with ad-blockers and ad-blocker detection/circumvention measures.
There will be solutions for scraper-blockers/traps. Then those become more sophisticated. Then the scrapers become better again and so on.

I don't really see an end to this madness. Such a huge waste of resources.

GPU rendered text interfaces are pretty ubiquitous already. You can find that in IDEs, browsers, apps and GUIs of OSs. Drawing pixels is still a job the GPU excels at. No matter whether it's just text. So I don't see a point why we shouldn't apply that to terminal emulators as well.

Probably has to be renamed to "ClosedAI" then.
