What's funny is how this is very much their gaming customers, their audiophile customers (my other obsession) are firmly just fine with Sony

Oh yeah I loved it when fhey broke the battery of their earbuds for thousands of customers with an update and then refused to fix it with costumer service. People should go to jail for breaking that expensive shit.

Also sony makes their products less repairable with each iteration, they are a shitty company.

Same here for the same reason.

Mind you, they had already pivoted from a great consumer electronics company to customer lock-in and other anti-customer actions before that, roughly since the Media side executives took the top positions away from the Electronics side ones in the late 90s early 2000s.

I believe they already limited the sale of ghost of Tsushima to regions where PSN is available, despite not having a mention of requiring a psn account.

I wonder what their end game is /s
