The concern is that they will ruin them and we'll get the purest slop, not that they won't milk the IP's until theyre a bucket of blood and tit pulp. I think most of us trust corpos to do that. Its kinda their thing.
I never got to try any Souls cuz no console and the PC versions are 60 US$ despite 15 years old, nor I find them in reliable piracy sites, does anyone has a trusted link?
