As a German I can say that this is absolutely not true

Also, more recently, the barely legal extradition of Maya to Hungary.

[-] DmMacniel@feddit.org 4 points 11 months ago

Indeed an absolut disgrace not just to our police but our politicians as well.

[-] HK65@sopuli.xyz 1 points 11 months ago

Who's that? What did I miss?

[-] cows_are_underrated@feddit.org 5 points 11 months ago

Maya is an antifascist who is accused of brutally assaulting Nazis in Hungary. In July she got sent to the Hungarian police, even tho that earlier that day the highest court in Germany said that this can't happen due to the fact that she as a non binary person can't expect a fair trial in Hungary.

[-] HK65@sopuli.xyz 1 points 11 months ago

Oh, it's those attacks.

On the one hand, those really were brutal attacks. It actually helped the far right and eurosceptics in Hungary a lot, because they now feel vindicated in their beliefs as foreigners from the EU came to Hungary to brutally attack people on the streets in an organized group, and various member states shielded them from the law.

Ilaria Salis, who was indicted as the leader, was saved from the trial by Italy making her an MEP. Imagine that happening in your country. It's hardly defensible, are we saying that Hungarian courts are not capable of ruling over violent attacks in Hungary now?

On the other hand, I don't know enough about the case to have an opinion on the extradition and Maya specifically, though. A Budapest court is usually not discriminative though, they are shitty towards everyone equally. And the Hungarian government should really ban Breakout Day, it's technically against the law, but Orbán thrives on chaos.

As a German I onced smoked a joint in 2004 with the Police while trespassing.

The majority are studied people who receive way too few credit for their service.

[-] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 11 months ago

Its true more often than in burger land but still not very often.

[-] Tiptopit@feddit.org 7 points 11 months ago

At least here people less often get shot.

Some protesters against the Stuttgart21 project would probably disagree, as well as German courts.

Not to mention all the excessive violence against the anti genocide protests.

[-] horse@feddit.org 26 points 11 months ago

When German cops do police brutality they burn you to death in your cell

[-] technopagan@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 11 months ago

That's what happens when you rehire the local DVP during reunification.

[-] FelixCress@lemmy.world 18 points 11 months ago

Reminds me of this one:

[-] mlg@lemmy.world 12 points 11 months ago

Haha now show the ones where they stomped out anti Israeli protestors with impunity

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 4 points 11 months ago

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 11 months ago

Does look like ai NGL, the face is too perfect and the background too perfectly blurry

[-] ysjet@lemmy.world 8 points 11 months ago

This picture has been around way, waaaat before ai was ever a thing.

[-] deadcade@lemmy.deadca.de 3 points 11 months ago

Straight lines don't have artifacts (car door, walkie talkies). Text, including off-axis text, is perfectly fine ("POLIZEI" on the right guy's uniform). The compression around the hair looks normal. Last time I checked, Even "generative" AI couldn't get those things right.

^ These are the guys that tell you they can always tell if a picture is AI generated 😂😂😂
