Missed this when it was posted, but I generally like what I see here. Slightly sad about shocking grasp, but it’s already not that far ahead of other options for Magi. And of course, we don’t have the full picture yet, so we can’t really tell if they’re actually worse off overall.

Some things definitely seem more graceful or streamlined in the remaster. In particular removing ability scores really just seems like a great idea when the score literally doesn't matter except to calculate the modifier. Overall I'm really excited to get my hands on the new player code when it comes out.

I personally really like the changes to cantrip damage. I know this is a spicy topic, but I GM for children, and the core truth is just that "more dice = more fun". Anything that gets them digging into the dice bag is a boost to enjoyment.
