I completely disagree. I think we should all stop getting offended by so-called foul language and realise that we ourselves have the power of assigning value to words, and choosing as a society to continue to be offended by hearing "shit" and "fuck" is simply unnecessarily perpetuating the cycle and in essence creating opportunities to feel negative emotions for no reason for the next generation.

There is also the fact that this language ban isn't even motivated by some sort of morality in the first place but by sponsors who think association with such language will hurt their sales.

Compounded, I'm sure, by an often full diaper. Must be quite the bouquet.

I don't think it's incredible at all. As a narcissist there are few things he values more than people liking him, and crowd size is (to him) the most direct representation or measure of it.

In case anybody hasn't noticed, Trump has shifted away from lying in the form of "plausible deniability" or lies that have at least a kernel of reality to them so long as you dig deep enough and just don't think too hard about it, to literally just making up events about things that other people did that simply never happened.

I feel like this has been going on for a long time, though? He literally lied about the crowd size of his inauguration 8 years ago despite pictures of the actual crowd being widely available.

I don't think he does lock down PA, his approval is solid but nothing crazy. And on top of that he has so many vulnerabilities. School vouchers and protest response, on top of old quotes being dredged out and the potential cover-up of sexual misconduct of one of his aides.

I would have looked at Kelly for his cheap points to score with low information voters (combat decorated Navy captain, astronaut), but Walz is also incredibly popular and has a good track record.

That's the whole problem with him in a nutshell, to be honest. He's an entertainer after all. You can call it what you want but there is a weird sort of charisma mixed in with the narcissism and utter deranged lunacy. That's why he's so dangerously good at appealing to his base and maintaining this cult of personality.

It is definitely a smart move. But still, maybe we can retire the Asylum Demon?
