It's definitely bleak but the protagonist is an inspiring comrade and he finds purpose in his circumstances

I suggest adding the movie Daniel (1983). It's about the trial and execution of a pair of communist New York Jews on false accusations, and the impacts of it on their children. It's loosely based off the history of the Rosenbergs.

Belt and Road countries are literally most countries. It's likely to be a safe investment overall, as it's one of the most diversified strategies. I think some B&R countries seeing relatively poor returns must be expected though.
