I think it's a messy idea, you will be getting conflicts on files already present in the system. You've been warned ;)

With that out of the way, I guess just download the image and start from https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide#Installation

Animating armor seems very scary and somewhat evil

IMO that fits paladins' zeal. Those who oppose them should fear the wrath of their righteousness, right? Taking a look at other piece of culture: "Smite Evil" does not leave a lot of gray area on both words.

It was AUR. The way AUR works is that there is a PKGBUILD file that tells pacman how to compile a package from scratch. It can be created in a way where nothing gets compiled, only precompiled binary is downloaded (like from github releases). So it was not a package in purely Arch sense. With those PKGBUILDs out from AUR, malicious binaries only sit on their github, or wherever those were hosted, and are not reachable via alternative package managers (pacman, the official one, doesn't offer AUR at all)

Mandatory XKCD

On a serious note, o/ welcome to the club! :)

At first I read "Florida". It was weird that Phoronix was covering that but still didn't ring a bell
Real title makes much more sense

each round one second long, so on your turn you only have time to either move or act or do nothing. This does mean each turn feels really fast

I disagree. Apart from choice-paralysis (do I do nothing again or finally go now?), this approach can either be slow or fast.
If you slap into each action a bunch of modifiers, temporary modifiers, dice counting (large pools), reaction roll, detraction, comparison, etc that will in the end make that one game-second take ages in play time.

I've been experiencing freezes after ~1h of playing. Those are hard freezes when even switching workspace doesn't work. Restarting the game helps for another hour

I've tried what few options from protondb but haven't noticed much change

Am I the only one?

  • GPU: Radeon 5700 xt
  • CPU: AMD
  • 48 GB RAM
  • SSD

I liked his cyberpunk deck, so I thought I'd share

Might still run fine, though

In the Seattle shadows, fixer Brynne Taggart is known as one of the best, the kind of fixer you want on your side rather than against you. But something has gone sideways and now she’s disappeared. Her mentor, the legendary fixer Saint James, needs a team to turn over every stone in the sprawl and if necessary crack some skulls (or spill some blood) in order to find out what happened … and why.

What starts off as a simple investigation within the suburbs of Seattle quickly escalates into a royal cluster-frag as gangs, bikers, and other runners become major obstacles. So the question becomes: are you going to take this laying down or are you going to rise to the occasion?

The description sounds like this is not a Disian plot, more street like

Anyone checked this out?

Since I started observing CGL on DrivethruRPG, I must admit they do put out stuff for SR. Maybe not always the best but it's not complete silence. I wish they negotiated the rights to use Horrors' plot, though

Looking at the repo I am not sure what this is. OS for TVs? App to watch television channels on a phone?

Wine can work in a pinch but I wouldn't rely on it

In this case I would say the other way round. Proton works in a container, so getting to the sound interface for example might be harder than just using Wine
