It's a reference to a meme video of someone reading misspelled Yahoo answer users asking pregnancy questions. It's quite entertaining.

YouTube Link to the video in question.

In America, there's a very popular car windshield decal sticker that people put on that says "Salt Life." It specifically just means someone visited a popular beach vacation spot called Myrtle Beach, SC. The people who put it on tend to being almost exclusively sporty douchebags and suburban moms.

That's about it.

Edit: changed NC to SC

They are reading the replies, but from their replies they just don't care about their own question. They're just a debate me chud.

As someone who also only drinks black coffee I agree. Their signature taste is literally burnt because of the way they roast their beans. It's terrible.

This excerpt from the linked Wikipedia article for the name abstractly summarizes it nicely.

It reached the rank of the sixth most popular name for girls in the United States in 1912 and maintained that popularity through 1920, but then its popularity dropped quickly afterward.[2]

The name Mildred was very common about a hundred years ago, but never really at any other point since. If you see the name Mildred without seeing the person in question your first thoughts will be that they are extremely old. That's really about it.

Normally I'm not one to even entertain the thought of commenting on a political thread, but I feel it would be disingenuous to click the button without any feedback in this case. This decision leaves me with a large enough lack of confidence in the future moderation of this community(especially given we're in an election year) such that I can't in good faith leave it on my feed and I will be blocking this comm after this comment.

While I agree that Ozma deserved a ban for spam, the justification used for this is frankly appalling. Misrepresentation of bias as bad-faith, especially with the admission that largely good sources were used is unacceptable.

No. I think it's a cat.

I definitely thought this was referring to Columbia University until I read the article 😅

It's weird how true this is. Complex Analysis was a little weird conceptually sometimes, but it made sense once you wrap your head around the complex plane structure. Proofs in Real Analysis felt like they were basically just gibberish created to support the existing calculus.

Ubisoft is publishing. The devs are the same people who made Dead Cells.

I read that from the article also, but it wasn't really heavy on actual detail.

The settlement also includes Disney’s agreement to seek permission from a federal appeals court to pause its effort to revive a dismissed retaliation lawsuit against DeSantis in Florida federal court in light of expected negotiations of a “new development deal” between the company and the district.

The only thing I can imagine is that Disney negotiated something that was more worth their while than the oversight board behind closed doors in exchange for dropping the lawsuits.
