Bullshit, its a victimless crime!

Obviously, traumatizing your workers should be a crime. That being said, I think abhorring violence is liberalism tbh. It isn't the violence of the video games that is an issue, it is the culture around the violence. If you can shoot a gun in a game, it's a big difference if that gun is aimed at a Nazi vs a 'jihadi militant' or whatever racist shit COD is about.

I think every one earth wants to be considered hot, smart, and funny. If your partner says something that comes off as suggesting you are not one of those things, it can be hurtful.

This is something the too online left struggles with. We should keep a carrot and stick mentality to changing people's minds. Shame is the stick, and should be applied when people are being shitty. But we should always celebrate people doing the right thing, even if they were a shitty person before. Even if we know they will be a shitty person in the future; we should show that we are willing to accept and include people once they have shed their liberalism.

Obviously if someone like Ben Shapiro says something like, 'Israel is commiting a genocide and should stop.' we know that he's not changed in any way it's just politically expedient for him to do so. We don't have to invite him to become a PSL member or say we'll watch his videos, but we should still say 'good on you for admitting it.' not because it will change his mind, but it will tear down some walls with his followers who see it.

Carrot and stick, celebration and shame, when applied correctly can be a very good mind-changing tool.

Of course they do, that's not really a shocking statement. I do like this research though, actually looking at how the underlying data distribution is forgotten.

I was reading an article about how ChatGPT will sometimes go on existential rants and I figure it's probably because so much of the training data is now generated by LLMs and posted on the internet. probably a glut of people posting "I asked chatGPT what it was like to be a robot" and things of that nature.

For real though, trump is just as extraordinary shit on israel as biden

I fully agree, but I aso think he would be willing to pay lip service towards a ceasefire if he (or an advisor) thought it would give him an edge.

I have been constantly wearing kn-95 masks for like 4 years. Glad to see all that time protecting myself and others has been rewarded with... being gleefully murdered. Fuck this guy and this country.

Ricing is a racist term. I am telling you right now that it is a racist term referring to a type of car modding that Asians are stereotyped as doing. It is explicitly used to deride and exclude Asians from the car enthusiast community. Anyone who's into cars or around people who are has heard this term, but you can Google it if you want.

What does it say about you that you'll deny basic, well known facts to defend using such an exclusionary term in a tiny community with a large amount of Asians in it?
