The Marvels was fun. I get it if you're part of an audience that isn't interested in this type of movie, but for what it was it certainly didn't suck.

If you want the pictures removed, your girlfriend should file a GDPR deletion request with the website. But coordinate that with the police because the worst thing could be the website deleting it and the police then going "we don't see what you have described on the website, we can't do anything"

Well since all major lemmy instances seem to hide mod names in their logs, we don't know who the banning mods are.

Lemmy.ml also has the funny quirk that it doesnt have a proper legal imprint or team list afaik. So we don't have actual transparent information on who is on that instances admin team and who is not. Iirc only one of dessalines and nutomic is on that admin team anymore.

Andretti has released a new statement two days on from F1's commercial rights holder officially denying it a place on the F1 grid for 2025 or 2026, a decision that only came months after the FIA green-lit its application from its side.

It targets both the notion Andretti was still considering a 2025 entry - which F1 implied was too ambitious for it to be competitive - and that it had avoided a meeting with F1 management.

Andretti also claims F1's offer of a meeting went to its email spam folder, according to the Associated Press.

But beyond ignored emails and spam filters, the other point Andretti has raised is massive - that it is preparing for 2026, not 2025.  If that is the case then it is strange that it did not come up in the information exchanged with F1 about its application. Clearly F1 worked on the firm belief/expectation that Andretti only had eyes on 2025 as that's what key parts of its rejection are built around.

[Pierregiuseppe Donadoni]

Ferrari's plan A is to bring Lewis Hamilton to Maranello. Uncontrolled rumours even give the deal as done with an announcement possible in the next few days

[Antonio Lobato]

I don't usually comment on rumors, but this one is more than a rumor. As far as I have been able to find out the chances of Lewis Hamilton wearing Ferrari red in 2025 are very high, in fact I don't rule out that he is already signed. Lewis is under contract until the end of 2025, but with an exit option in 2024. The move has caught Mercedes on the wrong foot, while Carlos Sainz was expecting it. This year will be difficult for Carlos at Ferrari, but his options for 2025 are several: a year of waiting at Sauber until it becomes Audi in 2026 or even a possible negotiation with Mercedes to take Hamilton's place.

Clamoroso: c’è l’accordo Hamilton – Ferrari dal 2025?

This is not about federation between instances. It's about how community discovery within federated instances works. Currently it's definitely sub-par.

The organizations fighting child labor in Ghana pretty much focus on getting the kids into school at all. It's a success story to enable a kid to go to school 5 days and only work on the cocoa farms 1 day a week. Completely eradicating it is impossible as long as families depend on that to make a living.

It wouldnt surprise me tbh. From my superficial visit to the darknet years ago, it seemed like these csam consumers have specific "favourites" among the victims whom they want to see more of. At least that's what I remember from clicking a link to such a chan and noping out of it.

I recently learned that all governments participating in the Euro guarantee that business have to accept cash. Refusing it is a violation of the accords.
