These insects are plaguing the hot pepper plants in our greenhouse, and last year they killed the pepper plants that we brought indoors. I haven't noticed them being a problem when it was warmer out, I'm assuming the ladybugs were keeping them down.

How best to deal with them? We have an insecticidal soap that didn't work last year, tobacco plants that I could probably extract nicotine from, or I'm open to buying something if someone has a recommendation.

I live in Alberta, I think we're zone 3, if it helps

Does anybody know of a list of usb live-bootable distros, with links to the download pages?

I have a coworker who wants to switch his gaming computer over to Linux, he has Linux experience but from like a decade ago.

He's not partial to any particular distro, so I was hoping to just put together a multiboot flash drive with a bunch of live images he could try. But I'm not sure what I should include, and what has live images, vs. install only images.

I'm most comfortable in an environment with apt, so Debian and Mint are of course already covered, but if the gaming-specific distros have live usb images, that would probably be the best thing for him to try.

I was taking a right turn out of a convenience store driveway the other day, waiting for the traffic to go by, and noticed the driver, a female, was apparently laughing hysterically at my truck. She was alone, pointing at my truck and laughing hard.

a female

Yeah, sounds like a Cyber truck owner

Americans pay more for healthcare than any other country, for worse results than any country with universal single-payer healthcare. Moving to the same model as Canada or the UK would mean paying less for healthcare, and getting better healthcare.

Which is obvious once you understand how private health insurance works.

By that logic it's the wheels that make both the car and the bike move.

Which isn't...entirely wrong, but I wouldn't say it's correct.

I know! Let's try putting wheels on a house

Conservatives value conformity; they think they are 'normal', and that being 'normal' is by definition good. Pointing out how fucking weird they are hits them where it hurts

My favorite is sending an apprentice to the tool crib for a long weight.

Tool crib guy will say "Yeah it's out back, I'll go grab it", and then go for a smoke

Does anybody have the link to the guy whose project car got booted on all four wheels, so he just put it on dollies, wheeled it into his garage, and told the boot company that they can have their boots back whenever they'd like but he's certainly not paying them anything?

Fuckin' dress like an awkward edgelord, go for it.

When this picture was the worst thing he was known for, his reputation was better than it is now
