Tannins can be good for you, but not the alcohol. You could get similar benefits drinking alcohol free wine or even just really tannin rich grape juice. Even a cup of tea has good tannins though.
That's not quite what a diuretic is. Diuretic makes you pee not poop. It's also the case that people develop a tolerance to this effect. Caffeine does have an effect on your bowels as well, but that's a separate issue to it being a diuretic. For example alcohol is a diuretic, but doesn't make you poop more. MDMA is an anti diuretic that sometimes makes people need to poop.
Yeah exactly. Chances are it would have worked provided they installed CUPS - which isn't hard or slow on arch after all it's not Gentoo. But if it didn't at least you have defused expectations while showing you are still willing to try. Something like: I don't have it setup on this laptop but I will try and get it working quickly, but no promises.
Why doesn't lemmy at least have pinned comments and flairs? Seems like a serious omission to me.
Why are you so negative?
You don't get it. We are saying that the same people who want to close down libraries are also the ones causing more people to become homeless and/or closing down homeless shelters.
No they probably shouldn't be jerking off at a library, but they don't have anywhere else to do it. Maybe if you had been homeless you might understand.
Without hydrogen or battery storage how exactly do you want to store energy?
So you were just being pedantic then?
Pretty sure it doesn't ban single occupancy bathrooms. It bans multi-occupancy gender neutral bathrooms - like bathrooms with stalls that share the same set of sinks. Don't get me wrong it's still dumb, but not as bad as you are thinking.
Heartbleed isn't a hardware vulnerability either. It's a bug in OpenSSL. Are you alright?
Actually the internet supports audio and video. If anything that's evidence that newspapers, books, and really everything before TV and radio is corrosive to human communication. Well that and text based forums like this are corrosive.
Just because a medium isn't perfect doesn't make it corrosive. The problem here is the way human brains deal with things, not the things themselves. TV and video also cause loads of problems, because people treat them as too real. It's a balance really.
That's absurd. Refusing someone a transplant because they used to drink more than 3 drinks a week before they knew they even had liver problems is completely absurd. Calling her an alcoholic for that is even more absurd. What in the world are these people or you thinking?
