Please reply before reading, if you plan to

! This probably seems like a pretty stupid and obvious question, I'm just interested whether people tend to act morally out of

  • Pure automatism
  • Fear of punishment
  • Conformance to authority
  • Conformance to the majority

or do they actually act according to their own moral principles? How deeply does the average person think about morality? Are their moral principles derived externally (by internalizing laws, religion etc.) or internally (by constructing them through purposeful contemplation)? !<

Not sure whether the spoiler is working or not lol

Classic capitalist brutality, whoever dares to speak out is crushed.

Step 1: start with noise

Step 2: make it look a little more like a crab

Step 3: repeat step 2

Well, they don't actually sequence your genome, afaik its a SNPchip type of thing, so only some select polymorphisms, probably not much useful data, especially if the stolen data was already processed results.

For context, the enzyme (complex) pictured is pyruvate dehydrogenase, taken from this amazing video. Looks absolutely wild with the symmetry and the lipoamide swinging around like that. To think there are billions of those working away in our cells right now...

We never really needed it, it arose naturally when people began to question the nature of their reality and other people realized they can gain political power by giving them "answers".

A worker at an intelligence agency says unidentified outside staffers arrived to sweep the office of anything they felt was related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, a target of a Trump executive order. That included a plaque, confiscated from a supervisor’s desk, that read, “Be kind to everyone.”

Laughing my ass off

Torrents need to be set up for this stuff if they don't already exist

Work on your own projects and it will come naturally, it's the best way to thoroughly learn a language (probably JS in your case). Try to really understand the basics (like OOP), it's knowledge which will both translate to other languages and help you learn frameworks/libraries. Instead of relying solely on tutorials, try reading the documentation, it will give you a more thorough understanding (if it's good), also stack overflow isn't cheating, you can't always remember everything. Trust me, you are already way ahead of others if you plan to take CS.

Looks like a huge pig's head at first, but really it's just a photo of a man with a beard meditating, reflects the music perfectly imo.

Why is killing people wrong, but ok in war? Why do we still kill animals even though we know it's wrong? Why is killing wrong in the first place? I bet you can't find a single rational reason. That is because ethics isn't based on reason, but instead on emotion. Given that, I don't find it very surprising that it's often very hypocritical.

Had to include the back of the cover with this one too, since it's just epic

The article is well written and all, but that "Copyright © 2023, all rights reserved" at the end is ultimate hypocrisy.
