This is a non answer, did you like the costumes, the acting? Was the script bad the dialogue stilted or plot contrived?
In terms of value for money try last gen AMD, I have a 6700xt and it runs well on my 6 year old system. My bottleneck is mostly CPU now until I upgrade
Just budget for it, $100 a month, then if you need to spend $500 at once then do it after you reach that goal

Sometimes fun things go by very quickly 😉. But it's the same rule of thumb I have for content and games
It could be justified as a reset timer for you to cool off and work out what to change instead of pressing retry over and over again and throwing yourself into the brick wall. But they did change it later to have shorter boss runs so what do I know.
Here's an extreme way to think about it. Would we rewrite Homer? Or Laozi? Or texts from 300 years ago? 100 years ago?
There is no line. Times change, just leave it there, in another 100 years you'll repeat the whole process again, just enjoy the new stuff in the present and read the old stuff with an understanding that it's different.
The only people making this an issue are those who want to sell you the old books but need to increase their market share or not get caught up in controversy
