Do you correct everyone who says Windows instead of Microsoft Windows NT?

"not much unlike"? They are both nothing alike, except that they are some sort of union.

I mean, if you say that in real life to anyone who is half aware of how the government works, they would laugh at you.

No one has said it's Linux's fault... But unfortunately it's still an issue Linux users have to deal with.

Also, not everyone is the CTO of their company to demand other suppliers. Most people are stuck with company policy that they have absolutely no say in it. Companies are not democracies.

There are laws of thermodynamics and there are laws of kinetics.

Fuels have much more power density than batteries. You can't deliver power as fast with a battery compared to a fuel. It doesn't matter if thermodynamically one is more efficient or greener than the other. You would be crazy to suggest moving an airbus with a battery, that's physically impossible.

I'm a researcher in both fields (batteries and hydrogen)

I don't think you realise school uniforms are not like they are shown in anime or by Britney spears

It doesn't have issues. It just doesn't work. You need your library on ext3/4 for the games to run on linux.

Read my other replies. 1 and 2 don't really work, the performance of using wine, or the alternatives, is just not there, if you do amateur work, maybe that's fine, but for professional collaborative work, good luck using freecad instead of autocad.

Personally, I use 3 and 4, but you have to understand that the regular user is not going to go through that much hassle to set up a virtual machine.

I mean, Dylan is an amazing lyricist and musician. But the technical prowess of his voice is known to be average at best, this is a common opinion even among musicians.

Dylan changed the game, but there's nothing wrong with acknowledging there are much better singers (from the technical point of view): Mike Patton, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Jeff Buckley.

No need to call someone dumb for a simple opinion, especially in something this subjective.

Answers like this is why people stay out of Linux, you want to get in and the first thing they say is "learn to ask a question!!!"

If you couldn't tell OP was a beginner from the second question, then you are not good at understanding questions.

Googledrive works as network drive and that's a problem. Have you tried to run MATLAB scrips with a virtual drive? Or open an obsidian vault in a virtual drive?

What I mean by "personal cloud services" is actually trying to avoid those professional cloud storage that you mention, not everyone wants to selfhost or pay for teras of storage. I just want my personal files to be accessible from my work computers (has to be windows, not my choice) and my personal computers (Linux based).
