We continue Sopranos night with the visual cuisine of Sopranos episode 9 and 10. Previously, we learned a bit more about Tony's childhood through flashbacks and saw AJ get diagnosed with ADD. Tony's mom also learned that her son is seeing a therapist which she is not a fan of. In episode 8, Tony and friends prepare for potential indictments by destroying evidence and, in Tony's case, by storing a few things at his mom's place in Green Grove. Melfi went to see her own therapist about her treating Tony. Christopher briefly worked on his movie script, he loves movies and gets high off the smell of candy and carpet at block buster.

In the previous episode Tony looked at colleges with Meadow while stalking and killing a former rat, and Carmella discovered Tony's therapist is a woman, upset due to Tony's history of cheating and his lie the day before. Meadow not only told AJ about the world of the mafia but even asked Tony directly during their car ride, resulting in Tony admitting some of his income comes from "illegal gambling." In response to Tony's seeming honesty, Meadow confesses that she took meth but does not disclose where it came from.

The visual cuisine for Monday night slop night is Cam (2018) and Primer (2004). Cam is a psychological horror movie about a webcam model, the site she's on, and an unraveling mystery. It is written by Isa Mazzei, a former sex worker who also worked on How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Following that will be Primer (2004), possibly the best time travel movie about two men who spend a few days entering boxes and spending time together in a hotel room. We will end with a video explaining Primer because it's just that good.

It is the new year and we are going to start it with a Monday slop night. 2020 will begin with Haru, an internet-based Japanese drama about loneliness and alienation that vimeo struggled to handle. Following that will be Corpse Bride, a claymation movie directed by Tim Burton about a man marrying a corpse. Next up is Coraline, another stop motion movie about a child entering a bizarre mirror world. Finally we will rewatch Tokyo Godfathers which follows a trio of homeless people finding an abandoned baby.

Will we start the year 2018 right? I don't know I haven't seen two of these.
