Vorta for Borg Backup - for linux and MacOS. You use it remotely but I use it for local backup because a) its encrypted b) its Borg so awesome and c) easy to use. I just pointed it at my home directory, told it where to place the encrypted backups and how often to make them.

I've had to recover files twice and recovery is just as easy as set up.

Instead of u/username its @username@instancedomain which translates to https://instancedomain/u/username

Instead of r/subname its !communityname@instancedomain which translates to https://instancedomain/c/communityname

Basically, in the body of a post or comment, use the ! or @ format to create a workable link.

I can vouch for whisper.cpp . It's not 100% perfect but it's good enough to transcribe a half hour podcast with numerous speakers and which requires pretty minimal fixing afterwards.

Simple answer is to stop going to either those subs, or Reddit as a whole.

He's currently the leading R candidate. Barring a miracle, he'll get nominated. Any sort of complacency by the electorate will lead to him getting in again.

It's an unpopular opinion community, not an unpopular statement with no context community.

I totally applaud your efforts to find a solution to this issue but I don't think this is practicable, at least in it's current form. I get the underlying idea that changes to the extension will have to be continually adapted to by the scrapers but that'll slow them down for a negligible amount of time.

I don't mean to sound negative and I really do thank you for your efforts but I can't see how this could be effective.

I think you misunderstood @pete_the_cat 's point. They weren't suggesting retroactive treatment had he been caught, they were suggesting that if he'd been properly treated he might never have committed the crimes he did.

Few times, yeah. Last time was August this year

I think (disclaimer: not an expert at all) that RAM is much faster to access than a hard drive so if anything it should improve.

I want a no-defederation instance because I have a principled objection to others telling me what I can or cannot view.

Which you want someone else to be legally responsible for providing you with.
