I can't remember myself in my ass

I remember trying to understand Vorbis fixed point codebase, it was completely bonkers, the three of us on this task couldn't even draw a rough control flow diagram.

Don't worry, in 5 or 10 years Google will develop an alternative and the rest of FAANG will back it. It will be super technically correct but will include a cryptographic signature that only big tech companies can issue.

I'm all about replacable batteries but come on. Two times I was out and came back home soaking wet because of rain. Many more times I used my phone in the kitchen or bathroom while water was splashing with no stress, which I wasn't brave enough to do with a non-resistant phones.

That being said, I'd rather carry an extra battery or two like I used to than carry a power bank.

Woah, youtube ads in the US are so much more interesting. Don't get me wrong, fuck pro slavery propaganda, it's just completely exotic to someone who only saw bank loan and lame product ads (when visiting parents who use official app on their tv)

You're probably right, there are reasons stopping them, it's not necessarily a conspiracy of phone makers.

Just got the notification for a post you made 10 minutes after mine...

Installing Python packages with pip is a hit-and-miss too

Hahahahahahahaha. I was like that guy in my youth, not knowing what people were talking about was alienating. I was reading a lot of books instead and, of course, nobody understood the references too.

No real reason. It's stable so I keep using it. Look at the official list: https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/community/community-instances/

You can see the programmer used Copilot, who in their right mind would want to type four times

Not sure about the proxy part, but on debianoids apt-get install dovecot with no further configuration gives you a pretty well functioning IMAP server. Just use your unix username to authenticate over imap.
