Different contexts. She can run like stink (as in, fastest in the world), and I don't see how that takes away from her academic achievements.
Trump (recently) received the nomination from his party, while Biden dropped out before the DNC. I could be wrong but I think it's a little more problematic for him to drop out, although perhaps that's just related to RNC self-imposed rules and not any actual laws.
Yeah, something this big is absolutely not one engineer's fault. Even if that engineer maliciously pushed an update, it's not their fault
it was a complete failure of the organization, and one person having the ability to wreck havoc like this is the failure.
And I actually have some amount of hope that, in this case, it is being recognized as such.
Funding agencies have huge power here; demanding that research be published in OA journals is perhaps a good start (with limits on $ spent publishing, perhaps).
