Burner phone to anything that requires communication. Erase metadata of anything that will be shared and uploaded online.

It was surreal watching BBC report on a game mod. I saw the thumbnail 'Fallout London Delay' with the BBC logo and thought there was a terrorist attack or something.

Wake up, developer. We have an OS to burn.

The same used to be said for Internet Explorer in the 90s.

I get the context, but in case of neighborhoods (and internet communities) the quality of people residing is also important. I'd rather have quiet neighbors saying hello instead of some drug peddlers blasting loud music every night.

That's just sad. Not even sports teams or musicians, but over a walled-gardened messaging app?

Chromebooks/ChromeOS have been very helpful in that regard. Grandparents that don't do anything beyond a web browser? I replaced the struggling windows partition with a CloudReady install. Zero complaints. Google account syncing also takes care of backups, so no worries on that either.

Now I am worried about Chromiun's near monopoly and how Firefox barely manages to make a dent in browser surveys, but I am not going to preach about web browsers and listen to their complaints every time a website coded by an unpaid intern refuses to do something properly on this 'Mozarella Foxfire' thing. I can afford to do that in my own time. They shouldn't have to.

I hear you bro. It's maddening how I have to submit legal documents through fucking whatsapp of all places. I'd ask if I can email them instead, or even better, hand them personally to avoid all the techy bs. They'll look at me like a caveman appeared from the mountains, and tell me "But you're applying for an IT job! Don't tell me you don't use smartphones!".

Sure, ma'am. Sucking zucc's dick means being a developer, wow.
