I’m still pissed they scrapped my idea of sending in a cold slice of pizza cut in half with a card that reads “we love you employee #3891-A” 😡

AIs use will never see it reach its full potential because companies are liars and deplorable entities that have historically demonstrated they will screw over everyone and everything for profits.

In another universe, AI would help people. It would tell you that you are eating too much bread. It would alert you that you do not eat enough foods in vitamin A. It would tell you that your late night habits of staying up lead to poor health. It would tell you that going to be before 12am leads to you having much better restorative sleep. It would tell you you’re sitting in one position too long. That if you left now, you’d make it 5m early. The list is endless. A machine always calculating and monitoring your status; in an effort to improve your life.

In our universe it’s going to tell you to buy Anamin’s sleep aid, now 50% off. Then track how much you take it so the company that sell you more. Or pass the data to their “partners” so they can sell you more crap.

What I don’t get is neither path is very deep, so shining a light would reveal both dead ends. Can’t think of a worse way to go tho. And the fear and panic realizing you’re doomed.

Yeah another stellar case in point to show Sony would rather you eat glass than have to do anything for you.

Let’s not forget the ridiculous court case against Geohotz for jail breaking the PS3. They pulled out every dirty tactic they could in that suit. Really showed their colours and how they actually “fight” in the court of law.

Scum of the earth.

I guess they would feel the hotel for not taking enough measures to prevent such from occurring lol.

It’s just a never ending slippery slope. Literally the same thing as hey there was a murder and we found the gun in your trash. You did it. Well next time make sure people don’t sneak onto your place and do shit.

I applaud the judges for seeing what’s in plain sight but can’t help but want to slap that outfit for even trying to pressure this into courts and then having the gall to try and take it even higher.

An open (or closed) port has nothing to do with speeds. An open port won’t be faster.

Opening ports lets others connect to you. If one party has an open port (but the other does not), a link can still be made between the two clients. If neither have an open port, neither will make a connection (no transfers). If both do, then either can negotiate the transfer. So at least one needs to be open.

The speed is the speed. Mobile internet tends to be terrible and I imagine upload speeds are heavily capped. Ports don’t help here.

Cadillac Fairview also asserted that shoppers were made aware of the activity via decals it had placed on shopping mall entry doors that referred to their privacy policy

They should get fined for an answer like that. Seriously.

The Adobe message has nothing to do with the technical limitations of your browser and everything to do with their monopolistic nature as a company.

Family of 5 walks out of a busy door, takes two steps, stops to discuss their plans. There are literally a hundred people around coming and going. And that’s where you stop?

Happens on the daily in the city.

No one anywhere “cares” about anyone else. Don’t like it, deal. Or better yet keep quiet and leave me the fuck alone. Mentality of 95% of this world it seems.
