Not quite the same as the current comments by Toto/Hamilton since the roles were a bit different (i.e.: Verstappen hadn't won a championship yet). And the Toto/Hamilton ones have been more direct. But yes, he's made similar comments. Their rivalry is not new and tbh I'm quite shocked anyone is surprised by any of this situation.
Just in recent years, he's made the following comments:
I remember some harsher ones but the current headlines keep coming up when I try to search for them, I'll have to give it another go when I'm back at my computer later (if I remember).
Not to mention Horner boasting in drive to survive that “it’s only fun if Toto gets riled up”
Honestly to me it’s a bunch of millionaires and billionaires taking stabs at each other. I don’t care and I don’t understand why people like to play offended in their stead.
