The 25-year-old college senior was told she likely had an ectopic pregnancy, a highly dangerous condition where the embryo implants outside of the uterus. Without immediate treatment, the fallopian tube can rupture — and the patient can die.

The law that has prohibited abortions in Texas since Roe v. Wade was overturned now explicitly allows doctors to treat ectopic pregnancies. But when doctors at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital evaluated Norris-De La Cruz last week, they refused to terminate the pregnancy, saying there was some chance the pregnancy was still viable, Norris-De La Cruz recalled. Instead, they advised her and her mother to go home and wait, according to medical records.

Who the fuck in a medical setting said an ectopic pregnancy might be viable?!

Probably a doctor afraid of losing their entire career by being sued to death by a bunch of fanatics

Ah yes, let's forgive someone putting their wallet over someone else's life just because other horrible people make vapid threats. Yes, let's allow the horrible people to get their way and still call ourselves good.

I want you to put your entire livelyhood on the line and potentially lose your medical license and everything you've worked for on top of possibly going to jail. Just so you can help someone. Guarantee you won't do it.

It's not just someone's wallet. There is way more to it than that.

The best thing they can do is to help them to find another Dr in another state that can help them out.

We need to get these idiots out of office and get a younger generation that actually represents the people in office.

"What is civil disobedience?"

I get both of your guys' points, but it's never black and white. I'm sure lots of people are afraid of losing their hard-built careers, but I'm also sure there are people disobeying this theocratic insanity.

Not in Texas.

Yes, and capitulating and rolling over when they win is exactly how you DON'T "get those idiots out of office."

Just like the Democrats are fucking STUPID for their border gamble. Because now everyone is talking as if the Republican gaslighting about a border crisis is REAL. Now, Democrats STILL don't have aid to Ukraine, but now everyone thinks the Republicans are on to something instead of lying grifters...

This kind of shit is the slippery slope to hell. You DO NOT win against a cheater by listening to their twisted, broken "rules".

Good job allowing terrible people to import hell on earth.

Democrats STILL don't have aid to Ukraine

Democrats are going to get a fascist elected because Ukraine seems to be the only thing they care about.
