The engineers and staff have gotten a massive shafting by F1 with the budget cap. Itβs be decent for most of the on track action, but we all know when savings are needed, the people are the first to go. F1 salaries were already abysmally low in comparison to similarly skilled engineers, and this will make sure to depress them even more
Wait, F1 engineer salaries are low?
In engineering, you take a pay hit for the cool factor. If the talent WANTS to work for you, the company can afford to pay you less.
This is consistant across all sectors, F1, Tesla, SpaceX, other companies in the space sector
If you do something not cool in the middle of nowhere, guess what, you get paid much more. E.g. mining or gas engineer
Damn, that sucks
