There is no dedicated notification LED on the Samsung Galaxy S22. You need to use a third party app that lights up a very portion of the screen to mimic a notification LED. aodNotify is what I use.
That's the app that I deleted because it was redundant. It didn't blink when the screen was off, only when Always on Display was on. I don't want that, I only want the light.
That is not how the app works for me.
I get the blinking feature as soon as I get a notification, without the screen turning on.
Yes, I was very much disappointed with Samsung for killing the notification LED. I loved that feature on my S2, S3, and S6 edge. But for me, the third party apps do work.
