Want to use adaptive icons primarily for shape-changing (not color-changing), with a flat or material design aesthetic. Actively maintained packs are a big plus.

Here's what I've found so far:

The first two seem reasonably maintained, but the coverage could be better and I'm hoping there are better options I've missed. Would love to hear what others are using!

I recently treated myself to a OnePlus Pad 2 and that naturally meant a new home screen setup. I wanted to make it both visually pleasing and functional, so I worked with the stock OnePlus launcher instead of using something like Nova.

  • Using syncthing fork to backup and restore the theme between my tablet & phone.
  • Works perfectly even though I have fewer apps on my phone, but missing apps are just ignored. No broken links/icons, which is great. Images taken from tablet in landscape.
  • Not quite "Reproducible" & "Declarative," but pretty close for Android. This is the first time my Android devices have been the same in theme and organization. I love it.

Ultra-minimalist setup. Gotta say, Kvaesitso can be so pretty.

I posted through mastodon since uploading images to lemmy from mobile has become difficult or impossible and didn't realize the second image wouldn't show on the lemmy UI despite being there in the mastodon post

My current home screen is inspired by the UI design featured in cowboy bebop :)

it's always evolving so parts are unfinished, but a lot of the features are designed to help me manage my circadian rhythm sleep disorder

Not sure how it'll look after compression, but I'm really proud of the design work that went into it, its pretty much all custom made with KWGT and KLWP

Arcticons is a free and open-source icon pack that has a focus on clean line-based icons.

I'm using Hyperion Launcher rn with a wallpaper from walpy. Icons from the Nothing Material You icon pack on the play store.

My first android themes related post on reddit. It's so, I don't even remember (or understand) how I get the formula to layout the text. The oldness also shown from the font used. I just pick Roboto Condensed as it's my favorite out of the default text.
