Hello all! So a few months ago I stopped taking my oral birth control after using it regularly for many years. Ever since then I noticed I've developed some nasty acne along my jawline that just never goes away. It's always really large thick pimples that can be quite deep and painful. I'm assuming this is from the hormonal change since stopping birth control. I recall birth control helping a bit with my acne (though I still always had some) but I don't remember having this cystic acne on my jawline before first taking it.

Is there a way to help with this via specific products, diet, etc? Thank ya!

Hi skincare people,

I normally apply moisturiser to my face daily, but rarely ever moisturise my body which I'm pretty sure I should be doing.

So my question is how often should I be moisturising my full body?

Please recommend me a shampoo! I have long 2b/2c wavy hair. I currently use tresemme flawless curls shampoo+conditioner 2x/week. I'm looking to start using a gentle shampoo more often now that it's summer and I'm working out 6 days a week.

US drugstore brands preferred but I wouldn't mind driving to a cosmetics store to stock up. :)

(I hope it's okay to post here - the hair communities I could find are all inactive.)

It's pretty great for finding a soap or sunscreen that will be easy on your body and the planet. Thanks, Environmental Working Group!

Hey all, I’m hoping you can help!

I live in a very sunny, high altitude place and need to wear sunscreen daily. I have never been able to find something that doesn’t feel greasy after a few minutes to hours of wear. It drives me crazy!

On top of that, I can’t find anything that works well under makeup without making it pill or settle into fine lines (I’m pushing 40).

Any recommendations? For under makeup, reapplication throughout the day, or just regular wear? I have tried so many different options, including the vaunted supergoop, with little luck. My skin is prone to dark spot formation (I am very pale white), break outs, oily spots, and all the fun signs of aging.

Thank you in advance!

This is the ingredient available in the new Mela B3 serum from LRP! I was pleasantly surprised to find this study on it.

For people who have psoriasis/eczema/bad skin, how did you get rid of your dandruff?

I've been dealing with dandruff since I was a kid, it's always made me really insecure and always wear a hat. I've tried plenty of different hair products, none seem to work. It's not just my hair on my scalp, it's my beard as well. I'm a 19 year old male (Caucasian), I've been already deciding if I want to go bald or not. I still get dandruff even with a buzzcut and stubble. My skin just sucks. Please feel free to recommend products. I'm trying to improve my life and I find this to be one of the most annoying things.

Ok long and short of it. I have ADHD and no desire to have a ten step regimen. And even if I did I wouldn't consistently keep up with it. I also work a job that involves me being outside in heat and cold and in an way that involves working with gross things so I get disgusting on a daily basis.

I have combo skin with my t zone being a gross ass oil pit. I currently wash with corsx low pH cleanser and love it. I don't use toner (used to but havent seen a difference in using it verses not) and am trying to find a daily moisturizer.

I have tried Cetaphul in the green bottle. It was okay but I don't love the feel of it and still felt dry in some places and oil in others

I have tried Aveeno for redness (I do have some redness and my mom has rosacea) and it feels nice but an hour or two after using my forehead feels very oily again

And I have tried Neutrogena Hydrogel and boy I love the feel but the product seems to not be very hydrating and I still end up with an oily forehead prior to work and getting sweaty.

What are some other options? The reviews on everything seem so mixed that I don't know where to go from here.

I've always had pretty nice, low-maintenance skin but now that I'm in my forties I find it needs extra attention. One thing I'd really like to improve is getting the glassy look. It seems like most women who achieve this are pretty young and/or on tret. I don't want to try tret because I'm very pale and already sun-sensitive. (At this point I've lost count of how many atypical things my dermatologist has lopped off, despite religiously using mineral sunscreen!)

My current skincare routine is here. It's definitely made a difference for me but I'm looking to refine it.

What can I tweak to get glass skin? Or is it even possible at my age without tret?

I had been looking for a replacement of the regretted Neutrogena HydroBoost.

Came upon this one randomly.

Better than I thought. Doesn't stick, and you can really feel the difference.
