I want to explore the ruins of Disneyland after the End of the US Empire.

A flooded Disney World that's being reclaimed by nature wind be incredible. I'm a big fan of the YouTube channel The Proper People, they explore abandoned things like that.

Had a quick look at their channel, a lot of their top videos seem to be about Chinese "ghost cities" and abandoned Chinese theme parks, they're not one of those channels that is just nonstop hurling anti-China propaganda at the audience are they?

No, it's probably just boosted by the algorithm lately. They've got a big back catalog with lots of US episodes.

Makes sense, I suppose the Youtube algorithm would mistake anything like that for anti-China drivel, so they would add it to the roster of white supremacist content they need to blast people with lest they start having independent thoughts.

I'll check their channel out, thanks!

yea

I know someone who just sold their home to capitalize on the peak of the market. Their reasoning behind this? The Florida housing market...

[-] miz@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago

sold a house in FL or sold a house to move to FL

[-] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

Sold their house in a very different state, very far away, because they think FL is a bellwether for the housing market.

prices dropping in chud states generally, seems like folks know what's going on and are looking for some threadbare protection

That’s what all the guy-walking-and-talking videos are saying about the real estate market in florida

If I wanted to go to El Salvador I'd just fly there direct.

The first bad thing about visiting Florida is that you’re in Florida.

Well it’s hard to believe in much

When you’re in Tampa Bay

[-] CocteauChameleons@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

I’ve thought about moving out of Florida since I was child like all the time, but idk where Id even go. I feel like a lot of states arent better off right now

On one hand, I’m too poor so even if I could travel, I want to avoid states with too many hogs as much as humanly possible.

But on another….fuck man, those keys look pretty and I should enjoy and see them while I still can.
