Since I've been seeing some bots creeping on here, I was wondering if there exists a Lemmy app that gives an exact timestamp of when a comment was posted, rather than using time elapsed.

For example, timestamp: posted 11/14/2025 11:26AM

Time elapsed: 3h ago

In my hunt for bots it would be super useful to see the timestamp, to discern if a bot is making a bunch of comments in the same minute. You can't quite discern that when it all says it happened 7 hours ago.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Thunder can be configured as such

Thunder Setting: Posts > Posts > Show Full Date

EDIT: This affects posts, but I can't find a similar setting that affects comments

Thank you! I'll look into Thunder, I've just been using Jerboa and Voyager so far.

I don't know about apps, but you can see timestamp on native Lemmy on the web by hovering the mouse pointer over the time elapsed label. I had asked about this way back when on Reddit and someone had to point this out to me.

Or, on mobile, by longpressing (AKA tapping-and-holding) that same time elapsed label.

This is hella useful, thanks! I didn't know browser based Lemmy had this functionality ๐Ÿ˜
