This looks really cool for a concept from this developer, though to be fair, the AI stuff might not be necessary. If, however, it supports local LLM's, that I can take a look at.

I'll stay on Obsidian for now, though.

This is a cm2002 post, so most assuredly not their project, but some notes:

  1. This thing is a hodgepodge of random things. Focus on one thing or maybe closely related things. Do it well.
  2. This is a notes taking app. Why the fuck would you need "AI" bullshit?
  3. This is a notes taking app. Why the fuck would it need to play YouTube videos?

GTK 4

Omarchy

Built-in AI integration

I think I'll pass...

AI I certainly get, Omarchy I don't see connections to, and GTK 4 is pretty nasty (as I've used tools using that disgusting system).

EDIT: oh I think I initially misunderstood you. You mean you don't see a connection between Omarchy and the project, not that you didn't see why the commenter included it in their list. You probably know the following already anyway. If you don't, now you know!

Omarchy is created by a far/alt-right white nationalist guy who doesn't like London anymore because there are too many brown people and who praises Tommy Robinson. And transphobic, but that's not surprising given the previous sentence.

(Note that in his article he says "native Brits," when the statistics he links says "white Brits." So he doesn't consider people of colour born in Britain to be "native Brits,", but doesn't want to outright say it. I wonder why.)

I misread it, seems like it's just the Omarchy theming system it has integration with. My point mostly still stands though, going out of the way to support Omarchy's system is still a red flag.

For those unfamiliar, the creator of omarchy is a pretty open white supremacist and transphobe among many other things. This blog post does a pretty good job of outlining everything:

https://davidcel.is/articles/rails-needs-new-governance (He also created Ruby on Rails, hence the article title, the focus of the article is mostly on that but it gives a detailed background on DHH as well)
