The way I see it the Nobel Peace Prize committee can do one of two things to save the reputation of the award:
- stop giving out the award and dissolve the committee or
- make a rule that it can’t be awarded to politicians.

Shrewd move by her, shows she’s prepared to use any lever she can to make things better for Venezuela, even gifting her medal in a nice frame to Trump. NB - everyone else does realise this isn’t the same as “giving him the prize” don’t they?
Donald Trump is going to use this as a loyalty test, though. Just like calling it the "Gulf of America", or the "Department of War". He's going to start calling himself a "Nobel Prize Winner" and sic his brownshirts on anyone who disagrees.
Sure - if not this then something else. That’s a problem for the people of the United States to solve (no one else can). She’s doing the best she can with the tools she has to advance her vision for Venezuela, which seems better than anyone else’s..
I mean it’s a peace prizey thing to do. If it even had a chance of helping it makes sense.
