Amiga's indie Roguecraft just got a Game Boy Color port in 2D

I'll confess, I bought this immediately after seeing this post. Plays alright, a little basic, very simple and easy compared to a more mainline roguelikes. Or maybe "shallow" is a better term, not a lot of strategic depth going on. I feel like I'm missing something.
And as noted elsewhere, there's no in-game mechanism to save during a run.
