I have no use for Ramaswamy, but one would assume that a former U.N. ambassador would be more diplomatic, right?

To be fair instead of taking her to task on her shit takes he instead went for her daughter.

Leave the goddamn kids that aren’t a part of the fucking government out of it.

Agreed; however it brings to mind that old saying about glass houses.

She was appointed by trump.

[-] spider@lemmy.nz 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

She was nominated by Trump and confirmed 96-4 by the U.S. Senate.

Deborah Birx, on the other hand, was a Trump administration appointee who would probably never say something like that.

For a few years now I've been pretty sure I could retire comfortably from my job if I'd just buy a cricut or similar and jump on the maga grift train.

I'd have a big hateful etsy store with stickers, flags, yard signs (of course - honestly would probably be the hottest sellers) and shit marketed to magas, the alt-right, and republicans. 3% patches, gadsen flag mechandise, the whole works. Given how they like to festoon everything they own with their asshattery I feel really sure I'd be raking it in hand over fist.

"Your neighbors probably can't read your handwritten signs about Biden and the gays - select one of our pre-crafted yard signs or submit your own custom message..."

Almost literally the only thing stopping me is that I don't know how I'd sleep at night enabling so much bullshit.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy has decided to capitalize on former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley’s “scum” comments by selling merchandise on his website.

Ramaswamy, 38, called out Haley’s daughter during the third GOP presidential primary debate on Wednesday in Miami for using TikTok, after the former South Carolina governor “made fun” of him for joining it himself.

Following the exchange that prompted boos from the Miami audience, the Ohio businessman’s campaign started selling T-shirts and beverage coolers Friday featuring the phrase “Rebel Scum.”

“It’s time to fight: now is the moment for freedom-loving American patriots everywhere to stand up and take back the country we love from a corrupt group of politicians who are marching us toward World War III.

The biotech entrepreneur joined TikTok in September, prompting similar criticism from Haley during the second GOP debate.

The former governor was asked about her comments on Thursday by Fox News host Bill Hemmer.

Edit2: removed Vivek channel video, does not include as much as The Hill video, IMO

This reminds me of the time when Trump did something similar, to a lesser extent...

I think this will help Vivek, standing out from the others.

Rising with The Hill had a talk about this speech, I thought it was insightful, IMO:
