Living in Norway and hearing right-wing bozos here talking about what they "heard on Joe Rogan" at the same time as they talk about trans people as if we're some sort of American cultural imperialism, without even a second of hesitation, has me feeling like Norwegians' learning of English was among other things a cost-cutting measure for fascist rhetoric: now all it takes is one Seppo with a Spotify deal to spread hateful rhetoric across the whole west, no need for translators or localization.

I have family in Norway who teach English, and what they've told me is very similar to what you're saying here. It's fucking scary how far the fascist propaganda travels.
