I'd even settle for a remake that hasn't been some before. I think we've had enough Batman do-overs. How about a remake of Stargate, or Turner and Hootch?

But seriously though, enough with the remakes.

I do feel like there's been a small resurgence of regular non-comic and original movies lately. I'm looking forward to watching Space Man, The 3 Body Problem, and The Gentlemen on Netflix, among others.

Also, both One Piece and Airbender are excellent.

Well as long as profits are made there going to keep on churning out the same old.

Then good thing superhero movies are flopping and something like the biopic of a physicist made a ton of money.

Personally I feel like we must be due for another Batman movie, they feel the need to make a new one of them every five or six years.

There are lots of new ideas out there. It's not all remakes. Look harder. There's more content to consume than ever.

Have we gone through all the basic stories? It seems like a movie can't just be a movie anymore. It needs to be everything everywhere all at once.

Morphology of the Folktale was written in 1928. All of this has happened before.
