Health and fitness (aussie.zone)

Hey guys and girls. We don't have a health and fitness community. I was thinking of starting one where we can post achievements, fitness videos, questions etc. Would anyone be interested?

I’m in! Now if someone would just come over and make me exercise…

[-] Gorgritch_umie_killa@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago

My thoughts exactly.

I agree with @baku@aussie.zone

AusFit is the way to go.

Remniciant of Auskick too

I was actually thinking CrossFit but like... Australian (I don't play football), but that works too ahaha

[-] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago

Might be just the motivation I need!

If we do get it up and running what should we call it?

[-] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago

Aerobics Oz Style or something to that affect.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago

Hahaha. Oh the memories.

I was thinking AusWellbeing but I like Ozercise too.

OzFit could work too, although personally I prefer to use Aus to Oz

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago

I prefer to use Aus to Oz

Strong agree. Oz is an emerald city with fake wizards and real witches in it. Aus is short for Australia.

I like this one too

On yer bike

Ahh, here's the post I hadn't seen yet because I was at work.

I'll throw my suggestion in here as well, but you kids may not remember the reference:
LifeBeInIt

[-] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 2 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Be.In.It.Yeah.

Sidenote: I remember a PSA/campaign that had people flashing the 👌 gang sign at each other. I don't think it was Do The Right Thing. I think it was about being a good person in your community like helping people carry their groceries home but I've never been able to find out what it was. Any chance you recall?

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 5 months ago

I remember that. There was kids on bikes and then the oldie said something and the kid stopped did whatever and then took off flashing the sign. That's all I remember.

Love this idea! Fitness on Reddit became only about weight lifting, so I'm keen for this to cover all forms of health and fitness.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I'd love that too.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 5 months ago

Ok @Nath@aussie.zone I think we should make it AusFit with a Life. Be in it. banner and a Norm thumbnail maybe. If you could please do this when you've got the time it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I'll go mod.

[-] Nath@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Ok it exists (!ausfit@aussie.zone). Go make a post in it so I can mod you. I'm still at work (only 4:15 here), so I can't do up a banner/icon yet.

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 5 months ago

No worries. Thanks
