The squirrels around here aren't very friendly, but they are an unusual colour. There's a large black squirrel population around North Hertfordshire, UK. This one was in Letchworth Garden City.

I didn't! I know they are gradually taking over from the regular grey squirrels (which is good as they've all but eliminated the native reds).
I did see a rare albino squirrel a couple of years ago. I couldn't get a very good photo, so it looks like the usual sort of indistinguishable nonsense cryptid photo.
