Has anyone seen any particularly good deals for NAS's, storage or memory, mini computers, things like that, for this Black Friday / Cyber Monday season?

Christmas is the best time to buy storage and other electronics. The best sales are usually then, historically.

Is windscribe good? I currently have surfshark and I'm happy with it, but it expires soon

I've got the simplest setup (mini PC with a 4TB USB SSD attached) and was thinking of upgrading to a proper multi-bay NAS, but those things and multiple TB hard drives are going expensive. If anyone has seen any good deals for the holidays I'd love to know!

For NAS getting something used from someone upgrading to something bigger on eBay is often a good route. Just be absolutely sure the model being sold meets your needs. Do you plan to run software on it for instance? Check what it can comfortably run first.

For drives. Server part deals always has good prices. I’d recommend only buying the ones with 1-3 year seller or manufacturer warranty though which is most of them. Easily half the price per TB you find most places. $150 gets you 14TB there.

I think this is good advice.

NAS is not a product for normies, so there doesn't seem to be huge demand on the secondhand market. So that works out better for buyers and you can usually pick up a pretty great deal secondhand.

I actually picked up a UNAS from Ubiquiti so I’m looking at drives myself. 4 and 8TB Ironwolf drives on Amazon seem decent, but I’m waiting for Monday to actually pull the trigger
