Last year or so a provenly innocent man was executed in the United States for a murder even the lead prosecutor on the case thought he was innocent and worked to get his own conviction overturned.
Always been like this.

I am aware. Obama was called the deporter in chief at one point. The main thing is that it was also democrats trying to prove that they were 'tough' to conservatives in the same way Bill Clinton tried to do that in the 90s.
It never worked. They will always be seen as the party of pansies. Netenyahu and fascists in general love Trump far more because even though the democrats kiss Israeli and corporate ass as much as Republicans, the republican rhetoric is much stronger.
You're right, all those holy libs complaining about it are just hypocrites.
They get real mad when you call them out on it.
When it's just the poor and minorities they don't actually care about they can look away and enjoy their great democracy, but when they get a taste it's fascism.
