I was wrong; but I still think it's harsh to (cyber)bully a person like that for making a mistake.

I think Carl is autistic; his stims seem to be repetitive and he dislikes the puzzle set being incomplete.

(I am aware of only that episode though; so I can't really do a good analysis on Carl.)
