Up until now I was a long time lurker on Reddit. Figured I would change that with Lemmy. Had a health bout a few months ago and in the process decided I need to up my water intake every day. I feel so much better and this has become my favorite water bottle. I drink about four 24oz bottles a day plus or minus a few 12 oz glasses at home.

Are you a water connoisseur?

I prefer my water from this one source - a tap in my grandma house. Frankly my house tap water is just 6/10. But her water is almost sweet it is very tasty.

Is there a terminology to describe the taste of water?

Got to be honest, I am not a true hydro homie, but if I was doomscrolling and a previous hyrdohommies post came up, it reminded me to drink water. So thanks hydro homies!

Freeze a 1/3 filled bottle overnight, and then you have one giant ice cube so when you fill the rest with water you get icy cold refreshing water all day long.

I am a cook and this has been a literal lifesaver for me at work in the summer.

I usually carry either a 40 oz or a 64 oz: Gotta stay hydrated.

I really hope this pans out. The fact that the powder can be reclaimed and re-used is pretty awesome.

The last time my eye was caught by a low-tech purification system, it was when an engineer in Tibet or Nepal figured out a way to use the reflective interior of oxygen bottles discarded by mountain climbers and sunlight. They set up a runnel system that used UV exposure, it took several hours but it was very clever and required very little work or purchased material.
